SERIAL STORY: Drawn Together IV - School

(AUTHOR'S NOTES: He he he, more and more we stumble through life with accidents and mishaps. Might as well write this chapter today too as I'm focusing on HALO Saturday, Sunday & Monday. No more delays from now on I'll try and be on time but with homework and stuff getting tough and the inability to start my English Essay it seems as though this maybe a bad fix. Also small question, if the guy/girl of your dreams appeared in your house what would you do? leave a comment on the blog!)

Love's grip on Virgilio tightened as they held each other in the kitchen "We're going to be late for school you know." the brown haired boy said, smiling and handing Love he bag. She looked at him as he also put on a school bag and swiped his hair to the side. "We?" she asked
"Yes, 'we' Love"
She looked confused and she backed away from him "Are you mad? Are you crazy? You can't just turn up to my school?" she paced around the breakfast bar and Virgilio once again laughed at her as she stormed around the place like a whirlwind. There was no look of worry in his eyes he just opened the front door and grabbed the spare key "Mine." he said placing it in his pocket and beckoning the hysterical Love to exit the flat: "If it pleases you, I'm already registered." Love stopped, looked at him and marched out the door quickly towards her car fumbling with her keys as she tried desperately to stop shaking. She couldn't and as Virgilio slid into the seat next to her, she only got worse.

The car journey remained silent, not a word uttered between the two whom had been so close in the itchen and now estranged outside their 'bubble'. "Why did you register at my school?" asked Love viciously picking up speed, "Why not?" replied Virgilio teasingly, sticking his tongue out at her "I'd be bored at home, I'm taking Music, Drama and Creative Writing. It's going to be fun." He moved a piece of her hair behind her ear and smiled, looking back out the window as she shrugged him off. "You don't get this do you? How am I supposed to explain you Virg?" asked Love nervously parking her car in the School car park "What am I supposed to say?" Virgilio got out the car, Love doing the same as he was grabbing his bag "Well?"
"Why not tell them I'm your boyfriend?" he yelled as if angry at her "Isn't that what I was supposed to be?"
"No, No you were supposed to be paint on a canvas! Not my room mate!" Both door slammed violently, shaking the car. Faces were now pointed at the pair and the whispers started as they attempted to go their separate ways...

However, Love stopped and so did Virgilio. The two looked back at one and other and as their eyes met Love's world began to spin again, her heart melted and her worries seemed to vanish. "I don't know where anything is..." whimpered Virgilio after he saw he was going the wrong way and he started walking back towards Love, a cute sad expression on his face in an attempt to charm Love who even though she'd already been won over was trying to mask it behind a serious visage. The two met half way. There was a pause.

Love held out her hand for the tall, tanned boy to take which without a word he did and she smiled "Come on Virg, this way." She guided him through the crowd of the school rush to outside his lesson. The two stared at each other as Love tired to edge Virgilio into the room but he clung desperately onto her hand "I didn't think it'd be this scary." he whispered to her as he looked in the door to the teacher who was already addressing the class. There was a warm feeling on his cheek and Love's lips brushed tenderly on his cheek as she pushed him through the door "Go get 'em paint boy!"
The door swung shut and the teacher's voice could be heard reeling with excitement as Virgilio had obviously made his introductions; two girls hung around in the corridor beaming at Love with eyes of hatred. They split off from each other and surrounded Love, one on either side and they both began their barrage. Question upon question about the tall long haired boy Love had just escorted, including name. "It's Italian, how dreamy..." sighed one, whilst the other continued her probe into the identity of the mysterious boy. However, love couldn't give her everything because she only knew what she'd painted on the canvas but didn't actually know about the person who had materialised from it. The girls, desperate looked Love in the eye "He's single right?"

Love froze, she herself wasn't sure. Was he? or were they? The confusion made her sick but the image was also warming, there was just two rather strange girls asking for 'her perfect man' and she wasn't having any of it. She was going to stand up for herself, she had to, she wanted to. She wanted him to herself. "Well, yeah, But I'm working on it." Love giggled as she left the two girls, with their mouths wide open in the corridor alone as she went to her lesson.

She felt great and this was only the beginning...

SERIAL STORY: Real Game Level 4 - Bonus Objective

(AUTHOR'S NOTES: Delays, delays nothing but delays my friends do forgive me, I beseech thee to find it in your hearts. Thanks. Well we saw Corey do some crazy stuff last time, take on a guy almost twice his age. So what next for the teen in trouble...?)

The download bar hit one hundred percent and it disappeared from Corey's field of vision. Yet in the corner of his eye he saw a small message:
'Candidate #32 Colarrus bludgeoned Candiate #2 Rudeboy200 to death.
First Blood Award to Collarus
Extra battle experience to Collarus.'
He shuddered as he remembered what he did not two moments ago and then he felt his body feel as though on fire; he looked around 'Hand to hand combat self defence skills downloaded including weapon self defence. Extra experience awarded.' he looked at his hands as the Nano-Bots voice (or voices) coursed through his head, he looked around, surveying for any more predators but there was nothing. No one. There was only the sound of absolute silence "Mark a settlement, I want to find shelter."
'There is a high chance of meeting competition-'
"Just do as I say!"
'Next structure is 3 miles east, marked by the diamond in your field of vision.' The nano-bots were not wrong, a diamond appeared with a distance counter that went down as he made his way towards it an ETA also beside it. However, Corey soon began to build rhythm and pace until he was jogging towards the settlement itself. The counter briskly going down and the ETA changing with his speed. It was estimated to take him an hour or so, it was possible, not to bad being an athlete Corey was used to this sort of thing. It was just the chance that he may run into competition that worried him. His eyes scanned as he ran in silence all save the noise of his feet bounding off the soft Earth.

There was no trouble, no competition, no killer person waiting to ambush Corey as he made his way to the grey compound. There were armed guards and lorries passing by him as he hid in the undergrowth. There he was by the side of the make-shift road, watching as black vans and black clad soldiers come in and out of the structure. It was like some bad secret agent movie. Corey crept up the side of one lorry, his hand tracing his fingers across the shiny, cold metal frame of the container towards the back. It was a canopy door, loosely tied on so that Corey could in fact untie and then hop in the back of the lorry. He did this, quietly, as the driver stopped to talk to some soldiers. There was an awkward silence.

Corey had fallen into the back of a munitions truck, there were crates with weapons in everywhere and Corey gulped as he could only think what they were actually for. The engined roared once again and the journey began into the eye of the storm, the hustle and bustle of the compound outside all loud enough to penetrate the container and flow into Corey's ears. It was a racket. The dull roar didn't stop into Corey could only hear the roar of the engine echoed, so he guessed they were inside and saw this as a perfect opportunity to escape. He slipped out the back and behind some barrels; the loading bay was swarming with soldiers and the word "SABLE CORP." was posted around everywhere in sight, on the barrels, on the forklifts, on the walls.

"The project seems to be going well," came a feminine voice from behind Corey in a small corridor to his right "But I believe you owe me an awful lot of money sir?" There was a disgruntled grunt and the sound of crisp notes changing hands. Corey approached the voices down the corridor, which they in fact weren't in but at the other side of outside a large door. Corey gulped as the large man dressed in commando gear growled menacingly at the female scientist whom propped her glasses up at his mediocre attempts to scare her: "I want you in the control room ASAP." he growled disappearing behind the large door the scientist following him in. Which Corey copied and into the void he went...

The discrete noise of computer fans gave character to the dark room he now found himself in; the faint light of monitors the only thing he had to dodge people as he tried to hide and listen in to the conversation between the man and woman whom "looked in charge" to him. They were not on good terms, the woman frequently waving her arms and the commando often yelling.
"He is a perfect candidate!"
"He's a wonnabe, nothing special about him ma'am; he was just the first murderer!"
"The nano-bots inside him are evolving at a faster rate then any other candidate!"
"Then how come you lost him-"
"He is not lost, we loose reception around the island!"
"Ma'am please listen-"
Corey hushed his deep breathes as he eavesdropped on the conversation; the woman continuing "Subject 32 is probably SABLE CORPS most prized asset at the moment, you will not go out to find him do you understand?" It was then Corey realised they were talking about him...
"But ma'am-"
"No buts everytime you say that Heinz something goes wrong, he is not dangerous we have permanent locks on his Nano-Bots, we monitor them every single download, every single sight he see's we see and we will get him back. The rest we'll see if they develop but if not they will be dispose of and the weapon will be injected into your men using the data from #32. Any questions?"
"Will that set our attack in motion?"
"Yes, Heinz yes."
Corey's eyes widened and all he could do was run, barging into scientists, commandos and anyone who in his way until he got out the gate. No one followed they must've known what a commodity he was to their Corporation and that all the poor people kidnapped by them were all being played...
